Swift Clipps Grooming
Policies
We require 24 hours notice for any cancellations. If you miss your appointment without any notice, you will be charged 50% of the price of your grooming payable immediately and before booking your next appointment. If it happens a second time, it will be the full amount of the grooming. If it happens a 3rd time, we will have to have to let you go as a client.
If your pet has been sick (ie. diarrhea, vomiting, coughing) or if you have symptoms of Gastro, please re-book your appointment. For sickness, you will not be charged if less then 24 hrs notice is given.
We are a grooming service ONLY. We do not have the space, capacity, or business structure for a daycare/boarding service.
Our hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 4pm. Your dog must be picked up within 1 hour of finishing services. If they are not picked up within 1 hour a fee of $20.00 for half day (Up to 3.5 hours late, and a full day fee of $40.00, will apply. Please note that these prices can change at any given time and are per dog.
If you are the last appointment of the day, your dog must be picked up by 4pm. For every 5 minutes that you are late, there will be a $5.00 fee. If you are not there to pick up your dog by 4:15pm. Your dog will be crated, and a pickup time will be arranged at our convenience. Please note that if this happens there will be a $30 fee.
We require confirmation of core vaccinations including the Bordetella Vaccine (Kennel Cough), Rabies and Distemper. Please upload a copy of your pet's vaccination record.
Clients are required to treat their pets year-round for fleas and ticks. If your pet is found to have fleas, you will be charged a fumigation fee and a fee for a flea bath.
We DO NOT express anal glands as per NS Veterinary Association regulations. I agree that Swift Clipps Grooming owner and employees are not responsible if any anal gland issues occur after grooming.
If your pet is too aggressive, we reserve the right to stop the grooming and you will be contacted to come and pick up your pet. A fee will be charged.
Payment is due the day of grooming.We accept cash, debit, E-transfer, or credit (sorry, no cheque). If full payment is not received within 5 days of completed services, there will be a daily fee of $10.00 until full payment is made. E-transfers can be sent to swiftclippsgrooming@gmail.com.
Please make sure your pet has relieved themselves before coming into the salon. Please clean up after your pet. Should you require a bag, we will gladly provide one for you.
We kindly request that you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your appointment. This is so we can maintain our schedule. If you are more then 15 minutes late, your appointment may be canceled if we have been unable to maintain schedule.
Please ensure that your pet is always leashed. We do have cats, dogs, and other pets on the premises, so this is for the safety of everyone. If your dog does not like other dogs/ cats etc., please let me know.
We do offer one on one services upon request. There is an upcharge for this service as no other dogs and clients will be able to come in while your dog is getting groomed. This fee will vary.
If you have issues related to the grooming of your pet, please contact me within 48 hours of the groom. I will not be liable for anything brought to my attention after this period.
We occasionally take before and after pictures of pets for our website and my social media accounts. Please give us (or not) permission to do so.
Due to Liability and insurance, we are unable to have the owner stay with the dog during grooming.
If your pet should bite a member of staff or another animal, a bite report will be filed, and your pet will be quarantined in accordance with provincial laws. You will be called immediately, and the pet will remain in its holding area until pick up.
We do not want to shave down a dog if it is not necessary. That being said, there are times when a dog is matted and for the safety and comfort of the dog, we must shave them down. Swift Clipps Grooming will not be held liable for any veterinary chargers than can arise from a dog being saved down. Examples may include but not limited to, clipper burn, cuts, etc.. By signing this waiver, you consent to letting Swift Clipps Grooming clip down your dog if it is warranted, even if we are unable to contact you via phone, text and email within 10 minutes of attempt.
Senior dogs will be taken on a case by case basis and will only be given a comfort groom.
